01-26-74 O.S. Live In Las Vegas (1st Opening Show)/ Something Old, Something New (Very Good Audience Recording) (Excellent show. My father attended this show. For the

1st time. E sings Let Me Be There, Spanish Eyes, and Help Me.)

01-26-74 M.S. Live In Las Vegas/Perpetual Motion In Vegas (Bad Audience Recording) (Good show, but bad sound. Highlights are Let Me Be There, Spanish Eyes, and Help Me.)

01-27-74 D.S. Live In Las Vegas (2nd Opening Show) (Good Audience Recording) (Elvis' opening night the previous night is always considered a "special warm-up" show because Elvis didn't want the other big vegas act at the time (Streisand or Sinatra probably) to have their Closing Night ruined by his opening night. So the 1st opening night was done quietly with very little promotion, and it is this show that was actually advertised as the Opening Night. My father attended this great show as well.)

01-27-74 10p The Most Beautiful Girl In The World (Bad Audience Recording) (E sings one line of The Most Beautiful Girl In The World. Other highlights include Killing Me Softly (sung by Voice) and Spanish Eyes.)

02-02-74 M.S. Vegas (Good Audience Recording)

02-06-74 D.S. Las Vegas (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. E does another rare Release Me, and also Help Me, and Let Me Be There.)

02-06-74 M.S. Checkmate In Las Vegas (Good Audience Recording) / The Concert

Years Vol. 49 (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Elvis introduces Nancy Sinatra and the band Checkmates and does a great Spanish Eyes. CD includes bonus tracks from May '75)

02-07-74 D.S. Aloha From Vegas (Good Audience Recording)/ Just Adios And Not

Goodbye (Good Audience Recording) (Very good show. Elvis is wearing the Aloha suit for this

show. Highlights include Trying to Get To You, Blueberry Hill - I Can`t Stop Loving You medley, and Help Me.)

02-08-74 D.S. The First Time Ever I Held You Close (Good Audience Recording)/ Forever In Concert Vol. 2 Disc 1 (Good Audience Recording) (Very good show. Highlights are I Can`t Stop Loving You, Let Me Be There (with reprise), and a great version The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face complete with all verses. This may be one of the first times he sang the full version.)

02-08-74 M.S. Las Vegas (Good Audience Recording)/ Let Me Be There (Very Good Audience Recording) (Very Good Show. Great mood and all around show. highlights are Blueberry Hill - I Can't Stop Loving You medley, Help Me, An American Trilogy, and Let Me Be There.)

02-09-74 D.S. The Concert Years Vol. 8 (Good Audience Recording) (This is a very interesting show. Elvis sings The Lords Prayer (one line only) and other highlights include When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again - I Got A Woman - Amen, Spanish Eyes, Help Me, and Elvis talking about "Elvis On Tour" and introducing the Film Producer in the audience.)

02-09-74 C.S. The Concert Years Vol. 81 (Good Audience Recording) (As usual, Elvis puts on a great closing show. There were several celebrities in attendance that night. Highlights include Trying To Get To You, Why Me Lord, Help Me, and Elvis introducing Mark Lensey, Rich Little, Wesley Cargoes, and Bill Cosby.)

03-02-74 A.S. On Time in Tulsa (Good Audience Recording) (Very good show. Highlights include Trying To Get To You, Let Me Be There, and My Baby Left Me.)

03-03-74 A.S. Event Number Eight (Houston Astrodome) (Soundboard Recording)/ Livestock (Soundboard Recording) (This is a good show, but very strange in that Elvis does not have Joe Guercio's orchestra to accompany him. The good part about that is it is clear that Elvis, the band, and the singers try extra hard for this show. Unfortunately, the person recording the soundboard puts most of the attention on the background singers and little attention to the band, as they are too low in the mix. Kinda gives the feel of it being a "Stamps Show" featuring Elvis. Some reports state that Elvis hated being on the rotating stage, unlike in 70. Highlights include Trying To Get To You, Johnny B. Goode, I Can't Stop Loving You, Help Me, and Let Me Be There. This show can be seen on the vcd Return To Splendour.)

03-05-74 Live In Auburn (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Includes a rare "on tour" version of Sweet Caroline. Other highlights are Help Me and Let Me Be There.)

03-06-74 Live In Montgomery (Good Audience Recording) (Great show, as seemingly all Montgomery shows are. Highlights include Trying To Get To You, Release Me, and Funny How Time Slips Away.)

03-07-74 Live In Monroe (Bad Audience Recording) (This is a good show, but in really bad quality. It is alledged that this is not the actual Monroe show, but a different one alltogether.)

03-10-74 Live From Roanoke (Very Good Audience Recording) (Very good show. Great versions of Trying To Get To You, Can't Stop Loving You, Help Me, and Let Me Be There.)

03-14-74 Diamond Dust (Murfreesboro) (Bad Audience Recording) (Incomplete show. This is a good show, but the sound is horrible and all songs are incomplete. The reason for this is because it is taken directly off of an 8mm video source. Highlights include Trying To Get To You, Steamroller Blues, and Help Me.)

03-15-74 A.S. Gone To Knoxville (Good Audience Recording) (Great show. Highlights are Why Me Lord, Help Me, and Let Me Be There.)

03-16-74 A.S. Hello Memphis (Soundboard Recording) (Seeing as how it had been over 13 years since Elvis performed in Memhis, most find it odd that Elvis coasts through this March 16, 1974 midday set like it's in Anytown, USA. Very average show, with no comparison to the other Memphis shows, especially the closing tour show.)

03-16-74 E.S. Live In Memphis (Good Audience Recording) (Very good show. Much better than the afternoon show. Highlights include Trying To Get To You, Steamroller Blues, Why Me lord (with reprise), and American Trilogy. Show cuts off after that unfortunately.)

03-17-74 A.S. Hometown Memphis (Good Audience Recording)/ Red Flower In Memphis (Very Good Audience Recording)/ Mid South Mania - The Missing Memphis Show/ Devil In His Eyes(Very Good Show! Again, much better than the first Memphis show. The highlights are Polk Salad Annie, Why Me Lord, Suspicious Minds, and American Trilogy.)

03-17-74 E.S. The Alternative Memphis (Very Good Audience Recording)/ Fire of The

King – Fever For the Fans (CD 1)/ Real Fire (Another great show. E's "on fire" this night. Does a reprise on Why Me Lord and a great I Can't Stop Loving You.)

03-18-74 Guaranteed To Blow Your Mind (Richmond) (Soundboard Recording) (This is possibly the best sounding live import to date, even beating RCA and FTD for sound clarity. The warm-up acts were taken from Memphis 75, which is about equal in sound. Elvis sings the best version of Steamroller Blues EVER and all around, a great show!)

03-20-74 Steamroller Blues (Soundboard Recording) (Before FTD put out their fantastic version of this entire show, this was the only source for the full show. Not mixed as well as the FTD either, it's good to have if you can't locate the FTD version.)

05-11-74 A.S. Live In Los Angeles (Good Audience Recording) (This is a fantastic show. E sings for the 1st time Big Boss Man, and for the only time You Can Have Her. Also does a great version of Fever. This show can be seen on the vcd Peacock Pandemonium and California Gold.)

05-16-74 O.S. The Concert Years Vol. 47

05-17-74 M.S. Lake Tahoe (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Highlights are Trying To Get To You, Help Me, Let Me Be There, and The Wonder Of You.)

05-21-74 M.S. The Live Collection Vol. 2/ The Fun Spills Over/ My Name Is Jackie Wilson (Good Audience Recording) (This is a newly discovered show from the May 74 Tahoe engagement. Very good show and great mood in this one!)

05-22-74 M.S. Spring Fever (Good Audience Recording)

05-24-74 D.S. Big Boss Man In Lake Tahoe (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Does good versions of You Don't Have To Say You Love Me, I'll Remember You, and Big Boss Man.)

05-24-74 M.S. Spanish Eyes (Soundboard Recording) (This is a great show in my opinion. Highlights include Bridge Over Troubled Water, Spanish Eyes, You Don't Have To Say You Love Me, & Big Boss Man.)

05-25-74 D.S. And The King For Dessert (Soundboard Recording) (Very good show. Allegedly it is actually the 5/26/74 Dinner show. Great versions of You Don't Have To Say You Love Me, It's Now or Never, and Big Boss Man.)

05-25-74 M.S. Surrender Lake Tahoe (Bad Audience Recording) (E sings a one-liner of Surrender. Other highlights are You Don`t Have To Say You Love Me, I`m Leavin`, and The Wonder Of You.)

05-26-74 M.S. Lake Tahoe (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Elvis is in a good mood on this evening. Highlights include You Gave Me A Mountain, I`m Leavin`, The Wonder Of You, and Big Boss Man.)

05-27-74 C.S. A Profile - The King On Stage Vol. 2 (CD 1) (Soundboard Recording)/ Last Tango In Tahoe/ Curtains Closed (Soundboard Recording) (Very Good show, but not like usual closing shows, as E's energy and enthusiam seems to drift every now and then. Elvis sings part of I Apologize. Other highlights include Big boss man, The first time ever I saw your face with all 4 verses, and a fantastic It's Now or Never.)

06-15-74 The Man In White Vol. 1 (Ft. Worth) (Soundboard Recording) (Elvis announces "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen I’m the NBC peacock," Elvis does great versions of Why Me Lord , Help Me and Let Me Be There. The video can be seen on the vcd Bright Light City.)

06-16-74 A.S. Live In Ft. Worth, TX (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. My family was in attendance at this show. Highlights include Trying To Get To You, Let Me Be There, and Big Boss Man.)

06-20-74 E.S. Blue Phoenix Over Des Moines (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. High points are Why Me Lord, Help Me, and Big Boss Man.)

06-22-74 A.S. Live In Providence, RI/ Inca Gold In Providence (Bad Audience Recording) (Really good show, but in bad quality. Highlights are Trying To Get To You, I Can`t Stop Loving You, Funny How Time Slips Away, and Big Boss Man.)

06-22-74 E.S. Peacock In Providence (Good Audience Recording)

06-23-74 A.S. Live In Philadephia Vol. 1(Good Audience Recording) (Good show, although I think that the Evening show was much better. Highlights are Trying To Get To You, Help Me, Big Boss Man, and the Fans`comments after the show. You can see this show on the vcd Rockin’ The Nation Vol. 3)

06-23-74 E.S. Live In Philaelphia Vol. 2 (Bad Audience Recording) (Very good show. Highlights are Trying To Get To You, Heartbreak Hotel, Big Boss Man, and Bridge Over Troubled Water. Good crowd.)

06-24-74 A.S. Rockin' Against The Roaring Falls (Niagra Falls)/ From Las Vegas To Niagra Falls CD 2 (Good Audience Recording) (This is a very good show, and the cd includes several rare live songs.)

06-24-74 E.S. Conquering The Falls (Niagra Falls) (Good Audience Recording) (Nice show, but the sound quality is below the average audience recording. Does great versions of I Can't Stop Loving You, An American Trilogy, & Let Me Be There)

06-25-74 Columbus (Bad Audience Recording) (Previously released before as Columbus, OH this is now the complete show. Highlights include Why Me Lord ?, Help Me, Let Me Be There, American Trilogy.)

06-28-74 E.S. In Dreams Of Yesterday (Milwaukee) (Soundboard Recording) (This is an excellent show, but the soundboard recording is very muffled on this release. It can be compared to "Run On." Highlights on the show includes a superior I Can't Stop Loving You, Help Me, Bridge Over Troubled Water, and Let Me Be There.)

06-29-74 E.S. A Profile-The King On Stage Vol. 1(CD 2) (Kansas City) (Soundboard Recording) (Great show. Elvis sings one line of When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again and quick Blue Christmas. All-around very good show. This show can be seen on the vcd 70’s Montage. CD also contains outtakes from a 1970 jam session at the first.)

06-29-74 E.S. Kansas City Blues (Soundboard Recording) (This is the updated show from the Fort Baxter Classic Series)

06-30-74 A.S. Spangled God In Omaha (Very Good Audience Recording) (Excellent Show. Just as good as the next night, if not better. Highlights include Why Me Lord, Help Me, Let Me Be There, and Big Boss Man.)

07-01-74 E.S. Omaha '74 (Good Audience Recording) / Rockin' Nebraska (Complete)

(Very Good Audience Recording) (Great show! E is in a terrific mood the whole show. One odd thing is at the end of the show, E starts to say something very intimate to the audience (Possibly addressing drug rumors or erratic behavior) and as he starts to talk, some fan interupts him and he gets annoyed and just ends the show without finishing what he was going to say. Other highlights include Trying To Get To You, You Don`t Have To Say You Love Me, and Help Me.Concert in full can be seen on the vcd Omaha’74.)

07-02-74 E.S. Salt Palace, Salt Lake City (Good Audience Recording) (A very good closing show for the end of the tour. Highlights include Why Me Lord, Funny How Time Slips Away, and a rare Help Me Make It Through The Night.)

08-16-74 From Sunset Blvd…To Paradise Rd (Hollywood Rehersals) (Soundboard Recording) (Very interesting look at the later rehersals. Full of salty language, E sings the only known version of The Twelth of Never.)

08-19-74 O.S. If You Talk In Your Sleep (Soundboard Recording)/ Down In The Alley (Soundboard Recording) (Last time the show is drastically changed. Opens with Big Boss Man and includes Down In The Alley, Good Time Charlie, and we hear for the 1st time Promised Land, the sung version of Softly, If You Talk In Your Sleep, and the brief return of Proud Mary, Never Been To Spain, and My Baby Left Me. This show can be seen on the vcd Peacock Pandemonium.)

08-20-74 D.S. Las Vegas Dinner Show (Good Audience Recording) (A good show, but drastically changed from the night before. The only song he carries over is a good version of Proud Mary. Other highlights include If You Love Me, It`s Midnight, I`m Leavin`, and Promised Land.)

08-20-74 M.S. Las Vegas (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. E sings one line of Higher and Higher. Other highlights are It`s Midnight, If You Talk In Your Sleep, and Hawaiian Wedding Song.)

08-21-74 D.S. Las Vegas (Good Audience Recording)

08-21-74 M.S. The Concert Years Vol. 105 (Very Good Audience Recording)/Sunlight In Vegas (E sings part of Take these chains from my heart, and a really good Big Boss man, If You Talk In Your Sleep,I'm Leavin', and The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Very Good show before the crazyness of the engagement really begins. Show cuts off after Let Me Be There.)

08-22-74 D.S. The Concert Years Vol. 86 (Good Audience Recording)/ Las Vegas Dinner Show (Good Audience Recording)/ Live In Las Vegas (Good Audience Recording) (Good, fun show. Highlights are Big Boss Man, I`m Leavin`, and Softly As I Leave You.)

08-23-74 M.S. Vegas Birthday Show (Good Show. Highlights are I'm Leavin, It's Midnight, Big Boss Man, & If You Talk In Your Sleep. E also talks about his diamonds and tells the story of the black angels.)

08-24-74 D.S. The Concert Years Vol. 32 (Very Good Audience Recording)/ Mad Tiger At The Hilton (Very Good Audience Recording) (Very good show!)

08-24-74 M.S. The Concert Years Vol. 56 (Good Audience Recording) (Excellent Show. This is the audience recorded version of the FTD show "It's Midnight." While I love soundboard recordings, I like hearing the audience recorded version as well to hear the acoustics of the room and the audience's reaction to Elvis.)

08-25-74 D.S. Where Will I Go? (Good Audience Recording)

08-25-74 M.S. The Concert Years Vol. 36 (Good Audience Recording)/ Vegas (E sings one line of Guadalajara. Other highlights included The Wonder Of You, Hawaiian Wedding Song, and Sweet Caroline.)

08-27-74 D.S. Las Vegas (Bad Audience Recording) (Highlights include It`s Midnight, I`m Leavin`, and Let Me Be There.)

08-27-74 M.S. The Concert Years Vol. 69 (2 CD) (Good Audience Recording) (Good, but strange show. E sings one line of We Shall Overcome. Other highlights include It`s Midnight, The Wonder Of You, and If You Talk In your Sleep. E also introduces Red West and Master Kang Rhee. A lot of the strange dialogue starts around this time.)

08-28-74 D.S. Las Vegas (Bad Audience Recording) (Good show, but in bad quality. E sings Softly As I Leave You, a rarely sung My Boy, and How Great Thou Art.)

08-28-74 M.S. Live In Vegas (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Highlights include If You Love Me, I`m Leavin`, Karate Dialogue, and How Great Thou Art.)

08-29-74 M.S. Las Vegas Show (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Highlights are a rare Until It`s Time For You To Go, If You Talk In Your Sleep, It`s Now Or Never, and the start of the Drug Talk.)

08-30-74 D.S. Live In Vegas (Good Audience Recording)

08-30-74 3am Night Fever In Vegas (2 CD) (Soundboard Recording) (Odd, erratic, but good show. Elvis tells a heckler right before American Trilogy "F--- You!")

08-31-74 D.S.Talkin Karate In Vegas (2 CD) (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Highlights include Softly As I Leave You, Let Me Be There, and Heartbreak Hotel.)

08-31-74 M.S. It's Midnight In Vegas (Good Audience Recording) (Very interesting show. E talks about Nixon, his name, Lisa Marie, and Karate.)

09-01-74 D.S. Live In Las Vegas (2 CD) (Very Good Audience Recording) / Roaring

Tiger (Very Good Audience Recording)/ Las Vegas, NV (2 CD) (Good

Audience Recording) (Very good show. Highlights include It`s Midnight, Help Me, and Bridge Over Troubled Water.)

09-01-74 M.S. Live In Las Vegas/ The Concert Years Vol. 31 (Good Audience Recording) (My father attended this show. During Fever, he does his "Drug Dialogue" though much less angrily and does an incredible version of Big Boss Man. Other highlights are It`s Midnight, It`s Now Or Never, Hawaiian Wedding Song. This show can be seen on Behind The Image Vol. 2 and on the vcd Vegas Showman.)

09-02-74 D.S. The Concert Years Vol. 77 (Good Audience Recording) (Good show. Not as crazy as the midnight show. Highlights include Big Boss Man, The Wonder Of You, Why Me Lord (with reprise), and Elvis introducing Steve Allen and Charles Heston. It's funny that on the 2 different Vegas shows that E introduces Steve Allen, a knowledgeable fan could tell Elvis' disgust for Allen, but still introduces him with a good attitude.)

09-02-74 C.S. Drug Story (2 CD) (Very Good Audience Recording) (Same show as Desert Storm, but this recording features the complete show including 2001 and See See Rider.)/ Desert Storm (Soundboard Recording) (My Mother, Father, Aunt and Grandparents all attended this show. This is a most erratic show. He sings a great spoken version of Mountain, and his dialogue included Karate, Priscilla and Mike Stone, his new girlfriend, gifts to and from Priscilla, and his answer to the Drug Allegations. This show is an up-and-down roller coaster ride.)

09-02-74 C.S. Desert Storm - Digitally Restored (Soundboard Recording)

09-27-74 All Gut In College Park (Bad Audience Recording)/ Chaos In College Park (Very Good Audience Recording) (This is one of E’s worst performances ever. According to books, no one from the M. Mafia had seen Elvis for almost a month when he showed up for this concert and fell out of the limo. He spoke on several bizarre topics for long periods of time and slurred his words publically for the 1st time. Sings Alright, Okay, You Win for the only time and an impromptu version of Lawdy Miss Clawdy during the intros.)

09-28-74 Broken Finger (Good Audience Recording)/ A Profile-The King On Stage Vol. 2 (CD 2) (Soundboard Recording) (The slurring is not as bad as the day before, but the dialogue is. Over 30 minutes of it. His voice cracks horribly during How Great...and he is completely off key during Blue Christmas. At one point he is going to do "If You Talk In Your Sleep," but instead does Blue Suede Shoes. Seems throughout all of the erratic, awful dialogue he can't even keep his mind on the topic he's talking about as he switched topics in midsentence.)

09-29-74 A.S. Dragon Attack In Detroit (Audience Recording)

09-30-74 E.S. Burning Bright In South Bend (Good Audience Recording) (Good, but erratic show. This is 2 day s after the whole College Park debacle, and he is singing much better and speaking much clearer. He still has some erratic dialogue, but that was typical of the shows. Highlights are It`s Midnight, Lawdy Miss Clawdy, and a rare Johnny B.Goode at the end of the show, and sings all of the verses for the only time in concert.)

10-05-74 A.S. Indianapolis (Bad Audience Recording) / On The Prowl In Indianapolis (Bad Audience Recording) (Average show. Highlights are Big Boss Man, If You Love Me, and Hawaiian Wedding Song. Elvis comes on stage wearing his sunglasses. This show can be seen on the vcd The King On Stage Vol. 1)

10-06-74 A.S. A Profile-The King On Stage Vol. 2 (CD 3) (Soundboard Recording) (One of the few really good shows of this tour. This show is the only one with the evening show as well on the tour that doesn't have a lot of strange dialogue.)

10-06-74 E.S. Breathing Out Fire (Soundboard Recording) (Elvis comes on stage wearing his sunglasses and sings Lawdy Miss Clawdy, The Wonder of You and Blue Christmas. Good show, comparable to Dragonheart. This show can be seen on the vcd The King On Stage Vol. 1)

10-13-74 D.S. Lake Tahoe (Good-Very Good Audience Recording)/ Lake Tahoe (Bad Audience Recording) (Offers a very lively E doing a great show. Probably the best of the 4 shows. E does a reprise on Bridge Over Troubled Water, a reprise on Hawaiian Wedding Song, and a reprise on Let Me Be There. Also does I'm Leavin, Lawdy Miss Clawdy, and a version of Johnny B. Goode not on the introductions. Good Show.)

10-13-74 M.S. The Concert Years Vol. 7 (Bad Audience Recording) (E sounds extremely worn out for this show, but its still a good show. Elvis is wearing the King of Spades suit for the only time until '76. Highlights include If you Love Me, Big Boss Man, I'm Leavin, and It`s Midnight.)

10-14-74 October Sun In Lake Tahoe (Bad Audience Recording) (Very Interesting show with a very strange setlist. Good show, but E clearly sounds exausted throughout this show as well as the other 3 shows from this "make-up"engagement. E is wearing the Mexican Sundial suit for the only time until '77.)
